Election and AGM Update

The 2016 elections are now underway and you will find a profile of the candidates here. A reminder that only club Presidents or their designate and Provincial representatives can vote.

The AGM is on Friday, November 11^th at 4:30 PM PST/7:30 PM EST. All are welcome to call in with only Presidents or their designate and Provincial representatives being able to vote.

A number of years ago the National Board indicated to the provinces and additional funds were required to undertake the production of a coaching manual the extra fees work out to five dollars per person and have been collected ever since. However to date we have seen little little or no progress on this that undertaking and further note that there is no contingency fund for this additional money that that has been collected so where's the money or was the manual? Another item that the board should look at is having national swim meets only in locations they can provide easy access to airlines hotels and swimming pools that meet our standards while it is noble to put limits on in small communities it would be much easier for all swimmers to know about locations that are going to be an area to be the same with cheaper transfer transportation costs hotels and pull rentals Masters Canada should step up to the plate and assume ownership of nationals funding should be provided in a board member should be appointed to ensure that MSC standards are maintained there should be no reason why our national meet cannot reach eight or 900 participants larger cities also have access to university accommodation to make the event less costly

Having our AGM on Rembrance Day is a sad sad joke. Not impressed with the optics of that.
