2018 Canadian Open Water Championships

Masters Swimming Canada (MSC) and The Lake Ontario Swim Team (LOST Swimming) are pleased to announce their partnership to run the 2018 Masters Swimming Canada - Canadian Open Water Championships.

The event will be held in conjunction with the LOST Race and LOST Mile on August 18, 2018, in Oakville, Ontario. The Championships will offer 1 Mile & 3.8K distances.

“We are very excited about partnering with Rob and his team to offer a well-established platform for the event this year, and for what we hope will be for years to come,” said Doug Hannum, Executive Director of MSC.

“One of our top priorities with the Lake Ontario Swim Team has always been inclusion. And now with the larger platform of the Global Swim Series, that is still what we are all about. With that in mind, we are excited to partner with MSC to offer Masters swimmers from across Canada a chance to participate in a beautiful, fun, safe and competitive race. The 11th edition of the LOST Race and LOST Mile takes place in Lake Ontario in the beautiful town of Oakville. The race will include swimmers from 14 to 85 years old and with abilities from recreational to several Olympians and world-class swimmers. We’re really excited about this year’s race,” said Rob Kent, President of LOST Swimming and CEO Global Swim Series.
